With Positive Psychology to more well-being
The year 2016 is over, and right now many are thinking about what they would like to change in 2017. Joerg-Friedrich Gampper offers some simple tips in this podcast episode on how you can fill your life with more well-being:
- Mindset: Changes in life can happen through small things. Allow yourself that something small can lead to a significant change. This is the first step.
- Rituals: Make one of your existing rituals something positive. Do you drink a cup of coffee or tea every morning? Then ask yourself the following questions during that time: What surrounds you that feels good? What do you feel, hear, or see that triggers well-being in you? Try to hold onto this feeling and think about it anew every day.
- Daily Balance: At the end of the day, reflect on your beautiful moments. For this, you just have to pretend that the moments in which you felt well-being that day are right there again. You will see how nice it is to fall asleep with this feeling!
- Gratitude: Be grateful for the little things in life, as nothing in life is taken for granted. What everyday things are you grateful for today?
- Focus: All four points have something in common - focus. In Positive Psychology, it is of great importance to focus on things that lead to more well-being. The way of doing this is not so important. Find your own way to focus on the beautiful moments in life!
