NLP Podcast 16: The Eye Access Cues
This episode of the Landsiedel NLP Podcast is dedicated to the eye access cues. Stephan presents this model as part of the Practitioner training. He explains how one can recognize from the outside how someone is currently dealing with questions internally, whether they visualize the answer or simply recall something. When applied correctly, the Eye Access Cues can almost trigger a magical moment in the other person – because how can one know what is going on inside another?
The Eye Movement Pattern
Short, unconscious movements of the eyes in different directions provide insights into which representational system information is currently being accessed according to the eye movement pattern. The graphic on the right applies to most "normally" organized right-handers. For left-handers, the sides may be reversed. This pattern is a generalization that does not always hold true. Advanced therapeutic methods such as the psychotherapy techniques EMDR or Wingwave, which are based on the eye access cues, are so powerful that they can even cure traumas. Stephan Landsiedel briefly explains this aspect of the model as well. Enjoy and have fun listening!
